National Day celebrations in Hanoi are always held on a grand scale. In 2025, the occasion is even more special as it commemorates 80 years since President Ho Chi Minh delivered the Declaration of Independence at the historic Ba Dinh Square. From early morning, Ba Dinh Square and the surrounding streets will be filled with the vibrant red of national flags. Following the official ceremony at Ba Dinh Square, the parade will continue through nearly 30 central streets of Hanoi. This year, the parade is divided into seven main routes, covering major roads such as Tran Duy Hung, Lang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Giang Vo, Kim Ma, Au Co, and Nghi Tam.
The event will feature a strong lineup, including the Army, Police, Mobile Forces, Cavalry, Red Flag units, as well as tanks, armored vehicles, and mechanized troops - all together creating a solemn and majestic celebration of the 80th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
On the morning of September 2, after the parade at Ba Dinh Square, many main roads in central Hanoi will be restricted to traffic. The list down below:

From 5:00 AM on September 2, traffic will be restricted around Ba Dinh Square for safety and order. Walking, cycling, or staying at nearby hotels is highly recommended for convenience.
